Ask Adele when she makes another tearful acceptance speech at the Grammys. Or football’s Spanish superstars Real Madrid when they step onto the podium to pick up another Champions League trophy.
The great thing about winning is - it never gets old.
It really doesn’t matter how many times someone tears open the envelope and says the magic words, ‘And the winner is…..’. It’s just the best feeling.
The great news is, that following on from the bumper haul of awards we picked up and placed on the Robertson Homes’ mantelpiece last year, we’ve already shown in 2018 that we’ve not lost that winning feeling.
Our latest bid for honours was at the Scottish Home Awards in Edinburgh where Robertson Homes was a finalist in five different categories.
And I’m thrilled to say that the team had an absolutely fantastic night which was topped off by winning House of the Year for the spacious, 3 bedroom Calico house style at our fabulous new Great Glen View development in Inverness.
It’s not just the fact that receiving awards is a great excuse to celebrate. What makes it so special is the fact that picking up a gong is fantastic recognition for the whole team of people involved in creating the homes we’re all so proud of.
Adele’s chartbusting ballads don’t just happen because she rocks up in a recording studio and belts out another tune. She’s got a whole team of songwriters, musicians, producers, engineers and stylists behind her.
And Real Madrid’s Ronaldo might be the guy who gets all the goal scoring glory but he’s got another 10 very talented footballers setting up the chances for him.
It’s no different at Robertson Homes. We’ve all got our individual jobs to do but what makes us so successful is the combination of talented people which makes up our team.
And like any award-winning team, it’s the way those different creative talents work as a unit and complement each other which is so significant in achieving the right result.
The range of skills which our team brings to each project is fantastic. Whether their expertise lies in construction or interior design, land buying or customer service, architecture or sales, they all work in partnership to deliver a superb end product for our clients.
When we’re battling our way through the working week, it’s sometimes easy to forget that we’re all involved in creating something, namely beautiful new homes, which are going to play a huge part in the lives of families all over the country.
That’s why it’s so nice when we get that lovely winner’s glow and can take time out to enjoy the recognition of a job well done."
