Building Communities...Not Just Homes
A much-loved area of Inverness woodland has been given a colourful makeover thanks to a donation from Robertson Homes.
The trustees of Dunain Community Woods wanted to breathe new life into the duck pond area of the woods as part of an initiative to inspire children to connect with the natural world around them.
A giant, colourful mural was created by Inverness artists Susan McCreevy and Heather Afrin and erected onto a timber frame which was provided and installed free of charge by Robertson Homes.
Dunain Woods is just a short stroll from two of our new homes developments in Inverness, Great Glen Hall and Great Glen Gardens, and is already proving a favourite place for our families to visit.
Jacqui McPherson, sales manager for Robertson Homes, said: “Our customers love having such a beautiful place right on their doorsteps so when we heard about the project to encourage local children to fall in love with nature, we were only too happy to help make it happen.
“The artwork is fantastic and will encourage the children to have fun learning about the great outdoors while spending quality family time in a beautiful setting.”
The Inverness Courier was invited along for the artwork unveiling.
