Best Show Home Award For Our Nasmyth Garden Room

We are incredibly proud of our two show homes at St Margarets in Rosslynlee, Midlothian with the five-bedroom Nasmyth Garden Room and six-bedroom Stewart Garden Room welcoming visitors to this beautiful development.

So we are understandably delighted that the Nasmyth Garden Room has been awarded the title of Best Show Home at The Herald Property Awards 2024.

The awards recognise the most innovative housebuilding across Scotland and the design and layout of the Nasmyth Garden Room certainly impressed the judges.

Here’s what the judges had to say about this unique family home:

“The purpose of a showhome is to impress, excite, inspire, and ultimately, create a strong desire for the property and make buying a foregone conclusion – and at the new St Margarets development near Roslin, the five-bedroomed detached Nasmyth Garden Room ticks every box.

“Dressed to reflect a country retreat but in a refined, non-stereotypical manner, it features a deep, dark colour palette combined with sage greens, tactile linens and lush carpets to give the property a distinctly dramatic and luxurious feel, while plants and greenery throughout reflect the woodland setting.

“The property also contrasts the country manor feel with some contemporary touches in lighting and furniture and some quirky design features. One very clever touch, a shelving unit/bookcase in the kitchen/family room incorporates a concealed door, which swings open to reveal the garden room dressed as a library/seating area.

“The Nasmyth Garden Room is the definitive forever home, potentially someone’s third or fourth purchase and the perfect property in which to put down long-term roots.”
