Kyle Giusti, our new sales consultant at the Wynyard Estate on Teesside, is used to explaining his unusual surname.
“It’s Italian,” he says, with a friendly Geordie accent. “My grandfather came to England after the Second World War and resettled here. I have a lot of extended family back in Northern Italy around San Remo and hope to visit them again later this year when travel is allowed. Sadly, I don’t actually speak a word of Italian – maybe I should do a crash course!”
Kyle, 28, spent eight years as cabin crew with Thomas Cook before joining Robertson Homes last year.
He said: “When Thomas Cook folded I saw it as an opportunity to follow a long-held interest in property, particularly house design and layout and interiors and after training with another developer was very happy to join Robertson.
“Unlike many other developers they really appreciate and respect the role you play within the company and that respect and interest feeds down to the customers.
“I feel incredibly lucky to be based at the Wynyard Estate – it is so grand!
“Every plot Robertson is building here is different externally which makes it unique and the plots are huge. It really is a very special place and is attracting an international audience. We have clients moving here from America and I was talking to a family from Mexico the other day and a couple in France.
“But also people who already know and love the area and recognise this is a once in a life time opportunity to be the first people living here.”
Kyle is predicting a busy spring with two available plots that will be complete by the end of June that will qualify for the extended Stamp duty holiday and 95% guaranteed mortgages due to be introduced in April.
He said: “I love helping people move into their new homes and seeing them enjoy the space and the surroundings and with only 20 properties still available I am expecting the next weeks to be busy.”
Interesting Kyle fact: I have four pet sheep - three ewes and a ram – that I bought last year after watching Springtime on the Farm when I fell in love with all the lambs!
