We are proud to announce two Robertson Homes construction colleagues have been recognised for their proven dedication and making their mark as two of the best in the UK after winning a top housing industry award.

Kevin Benstead, project manager at our development of new homes at Torvean, Inverness and Chris Thornton, site manager at Bowes Manor in Burnopfield, County Durham, are celebrating having received a Quality Award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Awards.

Running for 43 years, the accolade which is awarded by the UK’s leading new homes warranty and insurance provider, is the most highly regarded in the house-building industry and a prestigious benchmark for exceptional site managers. With only 443 winners selected out of over 8,000 entrants across the UK, the recipients are among the country’s best house builders.

Celebrating Kevin and Chris’s success, John Murphy, managing director of Robertson Homes and Andy Dodds, North East regional director said: “We are immensely proud of Kevin and Chris. Quality is at the heart of everything we do at Robertson Homes and for this to be recognised by the NHBC is testament to their skill and attention to detail. Our customers will be delighted their homes are being built by such a dedicated team.”

Steve Wood, CEO at NHBC added: “This accolade recognises the best site managers across the UK and celebrates how much Kevin and Chris have inspired their teams by going the extra mile to deliver homes of the highest quality.”

Kevin and Chris will now go on to compete for Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards in the autumn, with the national Supreme Award winners unveiled in January 2024 and we are wishing them the very best of luck!
