Young footballers from Bishopton and Erskine are re-starting their season in style thanks to a sponsorship deal with Robertson Homes.
The U/11s team from Erskine Youth FC unveiled their new sponsored playing kit and training gear at our Dargavel Village development in Bishopton.
We are currently building 129 new homes and 21 two-bedroom apartments at Dargavel Village, a short distance away from Erskine Youth’s Darroch Park home.
Erskine Youth FC was established in 1975 and currently has around 300 players ranging from U/7s to U/21s. The Robertson Homes sponsored U/11s currently play in the Paisley Johnstone & District Youth Football League.
Julie Henderson, sales manager for Robertson Homes, said: “Many of the young players are local to our development in Bishopton and it is great to have such a fantastic youth sports club so close to our site.
“I am sure many of the children in families moving to Dargavel Village will enjoy making new friends and playing football for Erskine Youth in the future.”
Graeme Johnstone, U/11s manager at Erskine Youth, said: “Thank you to Robertson Homes for the support which will make a huge difference to our team.
“We rely on corporate sponsorships to enable us to continue providing teams and facilities for all ages of children and the club is actively fundraising with the aim to install a 4G astro pitch for the children so they can continue to play in all weathers.”
Dargavel Village, off Barrangary Road in Bishopton, features a range of three, four, five and six-bedroom Robertson homes and is handily situated just 15 miles west of Glasgow city centre.
Julie added: “We will be following our sponsored team’s results closely and we hope their style of play will be as impressive as their new strip.”
