Friends Reunited in the North East

With their baby’s arrival only weeks away, our clients were hoping there were no hitches in their move to a more rural lifestyle in the North East of England.

And thanks to a part-exchange deal from Robertson Homes, the couple and their four-year-old son had plenty of time to settle into their new home and prepare for the family’s addition.

Our client said: “We were living in Low Fell but we wanted to move to a bigger property ahead of our baby’s arrival.

“We also wanted to move to a more rural location as our old home was on busy road and we wanted a quieter, village lifestyle to raise the family.

“We found our perfect home through Robertson Homes, and being able to part exchange meant we could move in much sooner with more certainty, safe in the knowledge there wouldn’t be any hitches in a property chain.”

Our clients drew up a list of must-haves for their new home and the Leonardo Garden Room ticked every box.

They said: “We wanted a bigger garden with grassed area for the boys to play, four bedrooms, a more accessible garage, a dedicated work-from-home space and the semi-rural location. I also dreamt of having a walk-in-wardrobe and, whilst that wouldn’t be a deal breaker, I’ve even got one of those now.

“The icing on the cake was the cathedral-style window in the garden room; that really sealed the deal for us!”

In a strange twist of fate, some of the family’s new neighbours are familiar faces.

Our client explains: “A family who lived just a few doors away on our old estate in Low Fell have also moved into this development, so even though we were the first people to reserve a property here, we already have familiar faces on our new development.

“I think it is because of its great location. It is so much quieter than living nearer Gateshead or Newcastle, but the commute is still quick and easy. In fact, my husband was home from Newcastle in just 17 minutes after a recent shopping trip. It also has everything you need close to hand, such as country pubs and shops for our essentials.”

Aside from being impressed with the part-exchange process, Emma saved special praise for the team at Robertson who helped them during their move.

“Everyone at Robertson Homes has been absolutely fantastic” said Emma. “The sales team kept us updated and informed, contacting us every week to check we were all ok. They even bought us flowers when our baby arrived and brought a present round for our other son, too.

“The site team have also looked after us perfectly. They have all made us feel special and have attended to everything we have asked. As an example of them going above and beyond, they even altered some fences around the development to ensure our dog Mylo isn’t able to wander off; that is such attention to detail.”

Having been in their new home for nearly three months, do the family still feel they made the right move?

“Absolutely” said our client. “We looked at some other new-build homes around the area but for the price, our Robertson home was much better value and better for all our needs. We’re very happy.”
