Robertson Homes has been absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process. We never felt pressured, nothing was too much trouble for them and even now we have moved in we still feel looked after and appreciated.”

Our clients recently moved into an Alexander house type at a Robertson’s development with their six-year-old son.

The first time buyers didn’t think they would be able to find a home with enough space for the three of them in Inverness with a budget of £200,000 and were feeling resigned to staying living with their parents.

“Then we came across this development” explains Ross. “The end terrace, three-bedroom Alexander was pretty much bang on our budget.

“There wasn’t even a show home at that stage but the layout of the Alexander looked perfect so we reserved it without actually having been inside a property as we didn’t want to miss out.

“We were so glad we did. It has surpassed all our expectations. It is far more spacious than we anticipated, it is brilliantly finished to the highest quality and everything in the house is exactly as we had asked for. There is more than enough living space for us as a family and it even has a really good sized garden.”

The couple took advantage of the First Home Fund to help them get on the property ladder, which helped them raise the deposit for their new home.

“We reserved our home in August 2020 and we were due to move in on the final day of the First Home Fund” explains Ross.

“Robertson Homes couldn’t have done more to ensure we didn’t need to re-apply to the fund. They put extra staff on our home to make sure everything was finished perfectly for our move-in day which made us feel very special and valued.”

The couple were the first people to move into the development and they are looking forward to getting to know their new neighbours.

“There are so many young couples moving into the development as it is a perfect starter home scheme so we think it will be a great community to be part of,” explains Ross.

“It is also ideally located for both of us as working parents with a commute into Inverness in just a few minutes and it is within the catchment of a great school for our son. It is also on an excellent bus route for enjoying time in the city centre.”

The couple’s purchase was boosted further by Robertson Homes who offered a keyworker incentive package due to Emma’s work for the NHS at Inverness Hospital.

“That was the icing on the cake and we used the money for upgraded flooring, a fitted wardrobe in our son’s room and then some nice luxury touches for ourselves, including a wine cooler and additional kitchen appliances,” said Ross.

“In fact, Robertson Homes has been absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process. We never felt pressured, nothing was too much trouble for them and even now we have moved in we still feel looked after and appreciated.

“If we were to ever buy a new build home again we would only ever buy one from Robertson Homes.”

Once the family had moved in there was one more surprise which one of our clients loves about their new home.

“Because of the woodland location, I can get up in a morning and from my lounge window I can watch the deer on the hills. It is certainly a beautiful place to live.”
