A stunning development of award winning new build homes near Edinburgh

From Livingston to Mid Calder is a short distance, and yet the difference is striking. Situated on a hill overlooking the River Almond and Calder Wood, this quiet conservation village with its strong sense of community and tradition offers a quality of life to delight any family.

About 15 miles west of Edinburgh, the town was once one of Scotland’s most important thoroughfares. It served drovers from the Highlands who brought herds of cattle over the River Almond to markets further south. Today the place is a fine attraction in many other ways. There’s an excellent primary school, a variety of shops and a good choice of hospitable inns and restaurants. Nearby secondary schools include St Margaret’s Academy, West Calder High School and the James Young High School. And you can shop at a wide range of supermarkets in nearby Livingston and West Calder.

Testimonials

  • We are just chuffed to bits with them. We have recommended our old neighbours and they have put a deposit down already.

  • Great value for money compared to the Cala Homes in the local area. There is a cracking finish on the house - they are one of the best developers in Scotland.

    Mr Andrew Voisey, Westercraigs, Inverness

  • They made sure I was happy with everything and didn't make me feel rushed. We looked at a number of properties but the quality of this home was superior.

Mrs Margaret Thomson, Chatelherault Mill, Ferniegair
    20 Jul 2017

  • I was really surprised and delighted by the attention to detail! The weight of the doors, height of the skirting boards, floor to ceiling heights, just luxury.
