Living in Bearsden

A wide selection of amenities and services are found in Bearsden, including national and local retail outlets and high street banks.
There is also a range of professional services, bars, cafés, restaurants, dentists, doctors, a library and medium-sized supermarket. There is also plenty to choose from in terms of leisure and sports facilities in Bearsden: a sports centre with fitness suite and swimming pool, indoor five-a-side football pitches, indoor tennis courts, bowling clubs, golf clubs, and the Bearsden Dry Slope ski club. 

Getting around

Bearsden is situated approximately six miles north of Glasgow, 30 miles from Stirling and 60 miles from Edinburgh.
The town has excellent private and public transport links to Glasgow, including various bus links and three train stations linked to Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations. Glasgow Airport is around 11 miles south of Bearsden and is easily accessed via the M8.
Loch Lomond and Mugdock Country Park are within close proximity to the development, allowing easy access to beautiful countryside walks.

Academic excellence

The site is within the catchment area of Bearsden Academy, one of the top performing schools in East Dunbartonshire.
Other nearby schools include Douglas Academy (11th in Scotland), Turnbull High School (21st in Scotland) and Boclair Academy (26th in Scotland).
