This site has been allocated within the South Lanarkshire Local Plan for a high quality residential development, located within the historic grounds of Chatlerhault Country Park, within the Hamlet of Ferniegair, on the eastern edge of Hamilton. A masterplan is currently being progressed by Robertson Homes, in consultation with South Lanarkshire Council, which will see the site of the former H & K sawmill, fully re-developed to take into account the sensitive nature of the site, and its relationship to the Country Park. Further progress on this site will be made throughout the coming months, with a public exhibition planned for later on in the year, with a detailed planning application submitted thereafter.
